Woodlands is a small independent pet crematorium near Oxford, North Canterbury.
Woodlands’ emphasis is on providing a respectful and individual service at an affordable price for Canterbury pet lovers.
You can rest assured that your beloved pet is handled with care and dignity throughout their final journey. We are pet parents too and know how much they mean.
Woodlands’ standard cremation service includes return of ashes in a card scatter box and an ink paw print on an engraved wooden plaque. Additional memorial keepsakes are available on request.
Woodlands also hand crafts wooden ash caskets using locally sourced NZ grown pine, made to measure for your pet and engraved with your personal message.
With cremation you are saying goodbye in a way people have honoured their loved ones since earliest times in history.
Woodlands operates under a resource consent issued by Environment Canterbury, using modern equipment made in the UK designed specifically for pet cremation and to minimise any environmental impact.

Prices include GST, collection and return of your pet's ashes to your home or vet clinic.Also included are their paw print on an engraved wooden plaque, fur trimming and nose print if selected.
Standard cremation may include other small pets sharing the chamber, but placed apart so that pet's ashes are kept separate and do not mix. If preferred, private cremation is available for an additional $60, where the pet is the sole occupant of the chamber throughout the procedure.
